You might not know this about me, but I have an addiction to searching for good cover music, and in celebration of the Valentine weekend, I wanted to share my latest finds.

These are all dedicated to my amazing husband, Jon.

Jon, I've had a really great weekend celebrating the Valentine holiday, but way more than that, I'm celebrating my good fortune and thanking God for you. I'm one very lucky girl to have you by my side for the rest of my life. Happy Valentine's Day Mi Amor.

A Pretty Cool Review ...

I just happened to find this review online tonight, it's really great to be getting such awesome feedback. I better start making some new stuff for our next show in May, I'm thinking the crowd will be even bigger =)

Beautifully Flawed ...

I just watched this awesome video by 25-year-old singer/songwriter Caitlin Crosby. And especially as a mom of 3 girls I love this message: "Love your flaws." Caitlin's got a studio album Flawz and a new website, loveyourflawz.com, and it's striking a chord with young women in a big way.

When asked about her inspiration for her Flawz album, Caitlin says that self-image is only part of the big picture that she's trying to tackle. Some songs on Flawz address more upbeat topics, while others take on weighty subjects like racism, homelessness, and social hierarchies. Either way, the main agenda of Crosby’s message is what she calls a “re-brainwashing” effort.

She explains it this way: Young women are largely accustomed to gauging themselves by physical attractiveness; but through her work, she aims to help them reverse the damage done by years of media messaging.

“Find those things that make you feel alive. When you’re doing what you were made to do, you’ll feel a confidence that has nothing to do with outward beauty.”

Gotta' say I love that last quote the most! Hope you enjoy watching this as much as I did ...

Some New Art For Saturday's Show ...
